Abstract

Many newcomers to Canada meet a consultant who advises them on how to immigrate legally, how to get a job, etc. But many of these consultants are unregistered with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) and are incompetent, negligent and unscrupulous and charges fees as high as 10,000$ or more. Since this industry seems unable to regulate itself, the governements (federal and provincials) must step in.
