Dear Friends,

Greetings from Manila. I hope all is well with you.

I am writing to remind you that the call for proposals for the workshop and
poster sessions for the World Social Forum on Migration (WSFM) is now open.
The International Committee and the Philippine Working Group of the WSFM
cordially invite you to submit proposals for workshops and poster sessions:

WORKSHOPS - Workshops need to be in line with the themes of the 5th WSFM.
All workshops need to be structured in 2 parts, with the first part focused
on discussion of issues and the second part on recommendations to address
the issues. Organizations are encouraged to co-organize workshops. (to

POSTER SESSIONS- The poster session is a discussion group that will focus
on new, emerging and innovative ideas / concepts in relation to protecting
and promoting migrants’ rights. The session is meant to disseminate
initiatives and good practices and to broaden understanding and knowledge

The deadline for submission of proposals in 30 June 2012. Kindly email

Estimados Amigos y Amigas

El Comité Internacional y el Grupo de Trabajo de Filipinas del Foro Social
Mundial de las Migraciones lo invitan cordialmente a presentar propuestas
para los talleres y sesión de posters del 5° FSMM.

Talleres
Todos los talleres deben ser estructurados en dos partes, la primer parte
debe focalizarse en la discusión de asuntos y la segunda parte sobre
recomendaciones para abordar estos asuntos. Cada taller debe presentar 3
recomendaciones prioritarias para ser incluidas en la propuesta general del
FSMM.Se alienta a los organizadores a coorganizar talleres sobre tópicos

Session de Posters
La sesión de posters es una discusión en grupo que estará enfocada en
ideas/conceptos nuevos, emergentes e innovadores, en relación con la
protección y promoción de los derechos de los migrantes. Una sesión de
poster puede ser usada para anunciar iniciativas de una organización,
resultados de investigaciones, una campaña emergente, presentar buenas
prácticas o explorar un concepto o idea emergente en relación a derechos de
los migrantes. Los tópicos de discusión deberán estar en la línea del tema
del día del FSMM.

El plazo de presentación de propuestas en 30 Junio de 2012. Por favor envíe
sus propuestas para mfa@wsfm2012.org . La fecha límite para la
presentación de propuestas es el 30 de junio 2012.
