Manitoba tightens recruiting rules for international long-haul truck drivers

Abstract

Drivers must be 21-50, have high school education, be screened by employer and more.
The province has issued new guidelines for recruiting international long-haul truck drivers in an attempt to improve safety and the integrity of a provincial nominee program.

The requirements come following a review of requests from Manitoba trucking companies to recruit drivers from overseas.
